Three of the sites above run on WordPress with a theme built for that business, because the owner needs to add an event, a coach, or a sermon without calling us. Two are hand-coded with no CMS at all, because the pages rarely change and there was nothing to gain from the extra machinery.
Every project starts from the same question: what does a visitor need to do here? Book an appointment, find a service time, request a quote, sign up to volunteer. The layout is arranged around that action, and anything competing with it moves down the page.
Most traffic these businesses get arrives on a phone — someone in a waiting room, a truck, or a car park. Addresses, hours and phone numbers sit where a thumb can reach them, and layouts are built narrow-first rather than squeezed down from a desktop design.
The domain, the content and the files belong to the business. If a client leaves, everything is handed over. Nothing here is locked to a proprietary builder we control.
No bloated page builders stacking scripts a visitor never uses. Layouts are built with modern CSS Grid and Flexbox on semantic HTML, so pages stay light and load quickly on a phone with two bars of signal.
Hover states, scroll reveals and transitions are there to show something happened — a menu opened, a form was accepted, a section is worth reading. Anything that only decorates gets cut, because it costs load time and attention.
