Web design for therapists and counselors
Someone looking for a therapist has often taken weeks to reach out. Your website should make that first step feel safe: quiet to look at, clear about what happens next, and careful with everything they share.
What someone is weighing before they reach out
Whether you treat what they are dealing with
Anxiety, an eating disorder, a teenager who has stopped talking, a marriage under strain. People look for their situation, not for a modality. A page per specialty, in plain words, tells them they have found the right person.
Whether they can afford it
Fees, insurance, out-of-network reimbursement, sliding scale. Leaving it out does not make the question go away. Someone who cannot find an answer often closes the tab rather than call to ask about money.
Whether it is private
Many people are reading on a shared laptop or a work phone. They want to know what happens to anything they type, and they notice when a site feels like it is selling something or following them around the internet afterwards.
Whether you feel like someone they could talk to
Your About page and your photo do more of the work than anything else on the site. Whether they are looking for psychologists, counselors or psychiatrists, people are deciding whether they could talk to you, and your own words answer that better than any list of credentials.
HIPAA-Compliant Web Design for Therapists
We specialize in HIPAA-compliant web design for therapists and mental health practices. Privacy isn’t a plugin we add at the end. It’s built into our platform and how we design your website, protect visitor information, and manage security from the start.
Your website, built with privacy in mind. Our platform provides a secure foundation for your practice, including hosting, security, backups, and ongoing support. You don’t need to piece together multiple third-party services to get started. If you’d like to use a separate platform for intake forms, appointment scheduling, or client messaging, we can integrate it with your website to fit the way your practice works.
No advertising pixels. Tracking tools from Facebook, TikTok, and other advertising platforms can transmit information about visitors’ activity—including the pages they view—to third parties. In healthcare, that can create serious privacy concerns. We leave advertising pixels out of your website. If you want visitor analytics, we can configure privacy-conscious measurement without advertising trackers.
Privacy and security, with clear boundaries. We build your website with safeguards designed to reduce risk and protect sensitive information. HIPAA compliance also depends on how your practice handles client data, which services you use, and the agreements and policies in place.
What goes into the site
Not every project needs all of it — this is the menu, not the invoice. We work out which parts actually apply to you on the call.
- Calm, uncluttered design with no pop-ups
- A page per specialty, in plain language
- Fees, insurance and sliding scale stated plainly
- HIPAA-compliant intake and booking via your platform
- A contact form that asks for no clinical details
- No advertising or tracking pixels
- Crisis resources (988) on every page
- Telehealth and office information side by side
A practice site we have actually built
One live private-practice site you can open right now, and the logo we designed for the same practice. Shown with the client’s permission.

Dr. Sarah Ravin, Psychologist
A Coral Gables, Florida psychologist treating eating disorders, anxiety and OCD in children, teens and young adults, so many readers are worried parents. Services are explained in plain language, fees are published on their own page, there are separate resource libraries for parents and for young adults, and no advertising or analytics trackers run on the site.

The butterfly mark
A butterfly in lilac and sage beside a serif name and the tagline “Informed by science. Inspired by you.” Warm enough for a teenager, credible enough for a parent, with the license number set quietly underneath.

$3,500 to build, $250 a month to run
The build is quoted after a free 15-minute call, because the honest number depends on what your site actually has to do. The monthly covers hosting, security, backups and unlimited content updates — the things that keep it working once it is live.
The full breakdown is on our small business website pricing page. If you are in the valley, our Las Vegas website design page covers how we work locally, and our small business web design overview covers the rest. We also build sites for dental practices, HVAC and plumbing companies and law firms.
Therapists & counselors — common questions
How much does a therapist website cost?
A custom therapist website starts at $3,500. Most solo practices fall near this price, while group practices with multiple clinicians may cost more depending on the number of therapist bios, specialties, and pages needed.
After launch, $250/month covers hosting, security, backups, ongoing protection against hacking and spam, branded HIPAA-compliant email, and unlimited content updates—from adding new clinicians and changing fees to highlighting a new specialty or service.
Can intake and scheduling be HIPAA-compliant?
Yes. Anything involving clinical information—intake forms, scheduling, or client messages—runs through a HIPAA-compliant platform that signs a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with your practice.
Already have a client portal? We’ll connect your website to it so clients can move seamlessly from your site to your secure platform.
Can I still track whether the website is working?
Yes, without advertising pixels. Basic visitor numbers (how many people came, which pages they found you through) do not need anything that shares visitor data with ad networks, and we keep any measurement off booking and intake pages entirely.
If you want to run paid ads, talk to us first. Ad tracking on a healthcare site is exactly the area regulators have warned about, and it needs to be set up deliberately if it is used at all.
Do you build sites for psychiatrists and group practices?
Yes. A psychiatrist’s site usually needs more about medication management, insurance and how referrals work; a group practice needs a way for visitors to find the right clinician. Same principles, different structure.
We also build for psychologists, licensed counselors, marriage and family therapists and clinical social workers in solo practice.
I already have a directory profile. Do I need a website too?
A directory profile is a good source of referrals, and you should keep it. But it puts you on a page next to every other clinician in your area, with their photos and their fees beside yours.
Your own site is where someone goes after they have found you, to decide. It is also the one place where you control what they see, without a directory’s rules, layout or competing listings around you.
Fifteen minutes, no pitch
Tell us what the practice does and who you are trying to reach, and we will tell you what the site needs — and what it does not. If we are not the right fit, we will say so.
